Jacksonville, Florida
Northeast Florida State Hospital
This secured facility received new windows in occupant housing. A dual window system was designed to withstand human impact at the interior, and protection from hurricanes at the exterior. Custom engineered steel fabrications were fitted within existing walls to handle the loads required for the new systems, adding decades of usability to facility housing. Work completed onsite in late 2024 after two shutdowns for hurricanes Milton and Helene. Materials and buildings were secured without incident despite fairly direct hits at this remote job site 30 miles west of Jacksonville, Florida.
