Kansas City, MO
Parkway Towers
Completed in 2021 within Kansas City’s crowded and historic Country Club Plaza district. Beginning in mid-2020 at the onset of Covid, work was completed amid evolving public safety protocols requiring masking, worker testing, and quarantines for positive testers – a serious challenge with a specialty crew of 24! Custom dies were supplied by Wausau Windows to accommodate dead-loading per-floor for singular openings spanning all 12 floors, and EFCO supplied sliding patio doors. The building remained occupied with full-time residents, made even more populous due to work-from-home requirements of the time. This placed added emphasis on Timekey scheduling, communication, and bedside manner. Because of limited space on-site, materials were removed and brought to the site daily on custom fabricated trailers. Ultimately the project was completed with minimal change orders and received historic preservation awards. Contracted direct with the HOA, Timekey was responsible for all scope to leave in ‘live in’ ready condition, and was performed 100% with in-house personnel. Work was overseen by Klien-Hoffman Architects of Chicago.
