This project for the State of Tennessee, and under the direction of one of the US’ largest General Contractors, Skanska, has Timekey restoring all original windows throughout this historic auditorium directly adjacent to the state capitol building. Original sashes are carefully removed and restored offsite, and reinstalled into field-restored perimeter frames. All coatings are removed to bare metal, hardware is stripped and polished, and high-performance paint applied. This work requires careful planning, organization, and communication to ensure each sash is replaced into its original opening, and original hardware stays with its original sash. This all occurs on-site around dozens of other trades working the full building restoration. Work is slated to complete in 2025, having been mostly completed across 2024.
